This is musically that the Festival des Arts has begun yesterday at Neoma. On the program: R’n’Beavers, Chill Benz and Groovanova. Let’s go back to this special concert organized for the Haitian cause.
By taking a first step in the amphitheater before the beginning, one could already feel through the repetition of R’n’Beavers the cohesion and the joie de vivre giving off the group. Only by the power of their voices, they gave a short start to this special Festival on Monday’s evening, after a long week of intense

repetitions composed by several trainings a week. Mia El Rakka, member of R’n’Beavers, told us about the mutual support and the solidarity reigning among the group, in which every single member comes with his/her talent and ideas, in order to build something together. The result was as great as we expected: the harmony and the deepness of the voices of R’n’Beavers transported us outside of this world last night.
The following band Chill Beenz added a rocky note on the concert, making many heads shake and all the hands clap with enthusiasm. From jazzy music to a revisited version of Stolen Dance, the group showed that it had guts! We enjoyed a very diverse ray of , reflecting

the different styles cohabiting within Chill Beenz: “We have a very democratic way to choose our songs”, confessed Julien Coquel-Rohëm. He explained us that the group was meeting two hours on Wednesdays, and that it was very important to them to put the music in services of the people. Mixing the playlist they composed for Yelloween and more recently for the TEDx event, the groups had been working for a long time on its songs, which anyway set fire on the amphitheater thanks to the spontaneity and freshness of the members!
Chill could have been as well the name of the Parisian group Groovanova, which stands as our pleasant musical discovery for this week, ending the concert with coolness and simplicity. The group started to play together three years ago, but the “real things” started last year, as they released their very first album Bad Dayz.

Joanne Loiseau, Vincent Charpin, Mauricio Santana and Thomas Bernardini were proposed by Really mad production to take part in the concert for the UNICEF association and they enjoyed doing it. “My mother is part of Unicef, so it was obvious for me to participate”, confided us the talented singer and piano player Joanne Loiseau. The members of Groovanova are composing their own songs and spreading their funk-soul-groove music in Paris, used to stand on the scene. You will be able to re-meet them or discover them on March 13th in L’Etage club and on March 27th in L’Entrepot in Paris.
The Festival des Arts has spread good vibes among students and predicts lots of surprises for the whole week!
